Canon is Elden Ring [x]
The sorcerer known as Rogier is one of the tarnished, someone who lost the grace of the Erdtree and were consequently banished from the Lands Between. After an event known as the Shattering, Rogier was among other tarnished revived by the grace of the Erdtree. Granted a form of immortality that allowed him to return from the dead over and over in a quest to become the new Elden Lord.
Rogier has spent a significant amount of time as a tarnished in the Lands Between, so much that he no longer can see the guidance of grace gifted to him. His ambitions have diverted from the purpose of becoming the Elden Lord, instead has become dedicated to pursuing knowledge and uncovering the mysteries behind the Golden Order and the broken nature of Death in the Lands Between. He holds a desire to find a potential cure for the cursed souls Who Live in Death (aka the undead). This quest and obsession with death lead to his ultimate demise when he contracted deathblight. A final death was granted with no further indication that he would be resurrected by the grace of the Erdtree.
The sorcerer's origins are unconfirmed, but presumed to have an aristocratic upbringing due to his elaborate dress and polite manner of speaking. The rapier he wields is fine crafted and ornate. Though humble about his abilities as a fighter, he is a skilled spellblade and a powerful sorcerer. At some point he aspired to be a scholar and very likely stemmed from a lineage of astrologers.
Rogier spent his entire life behaving with the utter detachment of a scholar. His demeanor is genuinely friendly yet proficiently deceptive. Out of survival, he holds a lot of cards close to heart. Slow to let on any anger, grief, regret, or fear bubble to his surface.

Welcome to any other castmates (srsly ANYONE where are my elden ring babies at), crosscanons/OCs of all kinds, and genremate canons to AU mash. Will happily au him into other fantasy genre worlds as your friendly neighborhood necro-curious sorcerer/wizard/magician/etc (i am familiar with most(?) final fantasies, dark souls, dragon age, witcher, dnd) . Also super welcome for other characters to AU into Elden Ring for tarnished adventures.
In general am a sucker for adventure-style threads, psychological/philosophical nonsense, tropey shit, angst, and loads of tension. Here for all the drama, but also keen to do more light-hearted threads.
Not particularly interested in any meta/crack scenarios or modern au.
